Une nouvelle technologie, bas\u00e9e sur le recyclage du CO\u2082 des fum\u00e9es de combustion et sa conversion en e-carburants comme le m\u00e9thanol, ouvre une voie plus simple et plus pragmatique pour acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer la d\u00e9carbonation des activit\u00e9s industrielles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Une voie plus simple pour la d\u00e9carbonation&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Le CO\u2082 n\u2019est plus rejet\u00e9, il est valoris\u00e9.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Le proc\u00e9d\u00e9 s\u2019appuie sur des briques technologiques d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9prouv\u00e9es : \u00e9lectrolyse, catalyse et proc\u00e9d\u00e9s de recyclage des fum\u00e9es\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L\u2019int\u00e9gration est donc moins disruptive pour les exploitants que l\u2019abandon pur et simple de la combustion fossile au profit d\u2019une \u00e9conomie totalement hydrog\u00e8ne.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Moins de risques&nbsp; de transport et de&nbsp;stockage<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne pr\u00e9sente des <strong>risques majeurs li\u00e9s \u00e0 sa tr\u00e8s faible densit\u00e9 et sa forte inflammabilit\u00e9<\/strong>. Des rapports de l\u2019INERIS rappellent que son stockage impose des contraintes fortes de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 (embrittlement des mat\u00e9riaux, risques d\u2019explosion, d\u00e9tection des fuites)\u3010INERIS, 2021\u3011.&nbsp;\u00c0 l\u2019inverse, des mol\u00e9cules comme le m\u00e9thanol sont <strong>liquides \u00e0 temp\u00e9rature ambiante<\/strong>, bien connues de l\u2019industrie chimique, et disposent d\u00e9j\u00e0 de normes de stockage et de logistique ma\u00eetris\u00e9es\u3010IEA, 2021\u3011. Cela r\u00e9duit consid\u00e9rablement la complexit\u00e9 op\u00e9rationnelle et les risques pour les exploitants.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Des technologies <\/strong><strong>compl\u00e9mentaires<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Le proc\u00e9d\u00e9 de recyclage de fum\u00e9es avec g\u00e9n\u00e9rteur d\u2019oxyg\u00e9ne par electrolyse permet \u00e0 la fois de consommer le CO2 de la combustion, produire du methanol et de produire l\u2019oxygene necessaire \u00e0 la combustion pour la production de chaleur\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9 de production sur site permet d\u2019eviter du transport et du stockage en grande quantit\u00e9 d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>La fili\u00e8re m\u00e9thanol, elle, est <strong>d\u00e9j\u00e0 mature<\/strong> : de nombreux proc\u00e9d\u00e9s catalytiques existent et des infrastructures mondiales de production, transport et utilisation sont en place (ex. carburant maritime, chimie de base)\u3010Olah et al., 2018\u3011.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cela donne un avantage de <strong>rapidit\u00e9 de d\u00e9ploiement<\/strong> \u00e0 la solution de recyclage du CO\u2082.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Les limites de l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Malgr\u00e9 ses atouts th\u00e9oriques, l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne se heurte \u00e0 plusieurs obstacles :&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Infrastructure inexistante<\/strong> : transport et distribution n\u00e9cessitent des investissements colossaux\u3010Hydrogen Council, 2020\u3011.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>S\u00e9curit\u00e9<\/strong> : risques d\u2019explosion et de fuites (ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne d\u2019embrittlement des mat\u00e9riaux)\u3010INERIS, 2021\u3011.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9<\/strong> : co\u00fbt encore trop \u00e9lev\u00e9 par rapport aux alternatives comme le m\u00e9thanol, l\u2019ammoniac ou les biocarburants de synth\u00e8se\u3010ADEME, 2022\u3011.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Conclusion<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Plut\u00f4t que de miser uniquement sur l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne, la d\u00e9carbonation passera aussi par des solutions <strong>interm\u00e9diaires, pragmatiques et rentables<\/strong>.
