Parmi les solutions \u00e9mergentes, le dioxyde de carbone supercritique (CO\u2082 SC) s\u2019impose comme une technologie de rupture dans de nombreux domaines, de la cosm\u00e9tique \u00e0 la pharmacie, en passant par l\u2019agroalimentaire, la chimie et m\u00eame les biocarburants. Ce fluide \u00ab hybride \u00bb, ouvre la voie \u00e0 des proc\u00e9d\u00e9s d\u2019extraction moins polluants. Mais comment fonctionne concr\u00e8tement l\u2019extraction au CO\u2082 supercritique ? C\u2019est ce que nous allons explorer en d\u00e9tail.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comprendre le CO\u2082 supercritique&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le CO2 supercritique est un \u00e9tat de la mati\u00e8re interm\u00e9diaire entre le gaz et le liquide. Il survient lorsqu\u2019une substance d\u00e9passe son point critique, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire au minimum 31,1 \u00b0C et 73,8 bars.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Au-del\u00e0 de ce seuil, le CO\u2082 adopte des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s physiques uniques :&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Densit\u00e9 proche d\u2019un liquide, lui permettant de dissoudre certains compos\u00e9s organiques,\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Viscosit\u00e9 et diffusivit\u00e9 d\u2019un gaz, favorisant la p\u00e9n\u00e9tration au c\u0153ur des mat\u00e9riaux solides.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ces caract\u00e9ristiques rendent le CO\u2082 supercritique extr\u00eamement efficace pour l\u2019extraction de mol\u00e9cules naturelles tout en \u00e9tant non toxique, ininflammable et 100 % recyclable.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Le proc\u00e9d\u00e9 d\u2019extraction au CO\u2082 supercritique<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le principe repose sur une mise en contact de la mati\u00e8re \u00e0 extraire avec du CO\u2082 dans son \u00e9tat supercritique. Le processus s\u2019organise en plusieurs \u00e9tapes cl\u00e9s.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tout d\u2019abord, la mise en condition du CO\u2082 o\u00f9 le dioxyde de carbone est comprim\u00e9 \u00e0 haute pression (de 80 \u00e0 400 bars) et chauff\u00e9 \u00e0 la temp\u00e9rature souhait\u00e9e (entre 40\u00b0C et 80\u00b0C selon la sensibilit\u00e9 des mol\u00e9cules \u00e0 extraire).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ensuite, le fluide supercritique traverse la mati\u00e8re premi\u00e8re contenue dans une cuve d\u2019extraction. Il dissout les compos\u00e9s cibl\u00e9s, avec une pr\u00e9cision ajustable par contr\u00f4le de la pression, de la temp\u00e9rature et parfois par l\u2019ajout d\u2019un co-solvant pour am\u00e9liorer la polarit\u00e9. Enfin, le m\u00e9lange est ensuite d\u00e9compress\u00e9 dans un s\u00e9parateur. La chute de pression entra\u00eene la retransformation du CO\u2082 en gaz (facilement r\u00e9cup\u00e9rable et r\u00e9utilisable) ainsi que la pr\u00e9cipitation des compos\u00e9s extraits, r\u00e9cup\u00e9r\u00e9s sous forme liquide ou solide, selon leur nature. Ce syst\u00e8me en circuit ferm\u00e9 minimise les d\u00e9chets, r\u00e9duit la consommation de solvants et am\u00e9liore la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 globale du proc\u00e9d\u00e9.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L\u2019ensemble des \u00e9quipements d\u2019extraction au CO2 supercritique int\u00e8gre un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 de recyclage du CO2 afin de limiter l\u2019empreinte carbone de cette technologie lors de la d\u00e9pressurisation du syst\u00e8me, un \u00e9quipement compl\u00e9mentaire permet d\u2019atteindre un taux de recyclage de l\u2019ordre de 100% du CO2 en r\u00e9cup\u00e9rant le CO2 de 50 bars \u00e0 pression atmosph\u00e9rique pour le recomprimer \u00e0 nouveau \u00e0 50 bars et le mettre \u00e0 disposition du
