Uma nova tecnologia, baseada na reciclagem de CO\u2082 de gases de combust\u00e3o e na sua convers\u00e3o em e-combust\u00edveis como o metanol, abre um caminho mais simples e pragm\u00e1tico para acelerar a descarboniza\u00e7\u00e3o das atividades industriais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Um caminho mais simples para a descarboniza\u00e7\u00e3o&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>O CO\u2082 j\u00e1 n\u00e3o \u00e9 libertado, \u00e9 valorizado.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>O procedimento baseia-se em componentes tecnol\u00f3gicos j\u00e1 comprovados: eletr\u00f3lise, cat\u00e1lise e processos de reciclagem de fumos.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A integra\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9, portanto, menos disruptiva para os operadores do que o abandono puro e simples da combust\u00e3o f\u00f3ssil em prol de uma economia totalmente baseada em hidrog\u00e9nio.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Menos riscos de transporte e armazenamento<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O hidrog\u00e9nio apresenta de <strong>principais riscos associados \u00e0 sua baix\u00edssima densidade e alta inflamabilidade<\/strong>. Relat\u00f3rios do INERIS recordam que o seu armazenamento imp\u00f5e fortes restri\u00e7\u00f5es de seguran\u00e7a (fragiliza\u00e7\u00e3o dos materiais, riscos de explos\u00e3o, dete\u00e7\u00e3o de fugas)\u3010INERIS, 2021\u3011. Pelo contr\u00e1rio, mol\u00e9culas como o metanol s\u00e3o <strong>l\u00edquidos \u00e0 temperatura ambiente<\/strong>, bem conhecidas da ind\u00fastria qu\u00edmica, e j\u00e1 disp\u00f5em de normas de armazenamento e log\u00edstica dominadas [IEA, 2021]. Isto reduz consideravelmente a complexidade operacional e os riscos para os operadores.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Des tecnologias <\/strong><strong>complementares<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>O processo de reciclagem de fumos com gerador de oxig\u00e9nio por eletr\u00f3lise permite consumir o CO2 da combust\u00e3o, produzir metanol e produzir o oxig\u00e9nio necess\u00e1rio \u00e0 combust\u00e3o para a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de calor.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Este processo de produ\u00e7\u00e3o no local permite evitar o transporte e o armazenamento de grandes quantidades de hidrog\u00e9nio.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A cadeia do metanol, ela, est\u00e1 <strong>j\u00e1 maduro<\/strong> : existem in\u00fameros processos catal\u00edticos e est\u00e3o em vigor infraestruturas globais de produ\u00e7\u00e3o, transporte e utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o (ex. combust\u00edvel mar\u00edtimo, qu\u00edmica b\u00e1sica)\u3010Olah et al., 2018\u3011.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Isto d\u00e1 uma vantagem de <strong>rapidez de implementa\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong> \u00e0 solu\u00e7\u00e3o de reciclagem do CO\u2082.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Os limites do hidrog\u00e9nio<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apesar das suas potencialidades te\u00f3ricas, o hidrog\u00e9nio enfrenta v\u00e1rios obst\u00e1culos:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Infraestrutura inexistente<\/strong> O transporte e a distribui\u00e7\u00e3o exigem investimentos colossais\u3010Hydrogen Council, 2020\u3011.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Seguran\u00e7a<\/strong> riscos de explos\u00e3o e de fugas (fen\u00f3meno de fragiliza\u00e7\u00e3o dos materiais)\u3010INERIS, 2021\u3011.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Competitividade<\/strong> : custo ainda demasiado elevado em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com alternativas como o metanol, o amon\u00edaco ou os biocombust\u00edveis sint\u00e9ticos\u3010ADEME, 2022\u3011.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Conclus\u00e3o<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Em vez de apostar unicamente no hidrog\u00e9nio, a descarboniza\u00e7\u00e3o passar\u00e1 tamb\u00e9m por solu\u00e7\u00f5es <strong>intermedi\u00e1rios, pragm\u00e1ticos e rent\u00e1veis<\/strong>.
